Call for Experts

June 1, 2017 [Rockville, MD] - AOAC INTERNATIONAL is seeking volunteers to participate on the ERPs and evaluate candidate methods for Official Methods of AnalysisSM First Action Status in the areas below.

Expert Review Panels (ERPs) are a key part of AOAC INTERNATIONAL's Method Approval Process. Once methods which claim to meet AOAC® Standard Method Performance Requirements℠ (SMPRs) are submitted, an ERP must judge the method against the SMPR. Methods that best meet the requirements are adopted and designated "First Action" AOAC® Official Methods℠. ERP members must be experts in their fields. They are carefully vetted by the AOAC Official Methods Board.

Bisphenol-A

General Applicability: Determination of Bisphenol-A in beverages

Technology: Any analytical technique(s) that measures the analytes of interest and meets the following method performance requirements


Cannabis

Quantitation of Selected Cannabinoids

General Applicability:

1) Quantitation and Identification of Individual Cannabinoids in Cannabis Concentrates
2) Quantitation and Identification of Individual Cannabinoids in Plant Material

Technology:
Any analytical technique(s) that measures the analytes of interest and meets the following method performance requirements


Proanthocyanidins in Cranberries

General Applicability:

1) Identification of the Presence of Type-A proanthocyanidins in various cranberry products
2) Quantification of total proanthocyanidin content in various cranberry products

Technology:
Any analytical technique(s) that measures the analytes of interest and meets the following method performance requirements


You may apply to serve on an ERP using this form. Your application will be reviewed and vetted by the AOAC Official Methods Board (OMB).

ERP members must attend ERP meetings in person to determine eligibility of candidate methods for Official Methods of AnalysisSM – please take this into consideration when applying to serve. AOAC may be able to assist approved ERP members with travel.
