As part of an effort to update and modernize Chapter 6 (Disinfectants) of the Official Methods of Analysis, AOAC INTERNATIONAL, under contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, seeks experts on Official Method^SM 960.09, Germicidal and Detergent Sanitizing Action of Disinfectants. Volunteers will assist in updating and providing editorial revisions, which would not affect the method results, including:

1. Addition of nontechnical information for consistency.
2. Updating of nontechnical footnote or reference information.
3. Changes to titles of sections, tables, and figures.
4. Rearrangement or renumbering of sections, tables, and figures.
5. Minor changes in sentence structure that do not change the original intent.
6. Corrections of spelling or punctuation.
7. Addition of AOAC general safety caveat for materials and apparatus.
8. Correction of typographical errors that would not have otherwise affected the technical interpretation of the method.
