J. AOAC Int. Posts Select Manuscripts “Online Before Print”

The Editors of the Journal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL are pleased to announce that beginning in June 2010, select manuscripts will be posted online in advance of print publication. Manuscripts that are considered “hot” topics--specially selected by J. AOAC Int. Section Editors--will be available online weeks and even months before the print version. AOAC calls it “Online Before Print” and is following in the footsteps of other scholarly publishing industry leaders—such as Nature, Science, and the American Chemical Society (ACS) Publications. Select manuscripts are posted to the publications’ websites--within weeks of acceptance--before appearing in print in the traditional journals.

At J. AOAC Int., all areas of research will be eligible for Online Before Print, but only a select few will be chosen. This includes invited manuscripts, J. AOAC Int.’s Special Guest Editor Sections, and manuscripts that involve research related to an AOAC contract, such as biothreat detection, food contamination, residues in seafood, infant formula, dietary supplements, disinfectants, veterinary drug residues, and endocrine disruptors.

The following manuscripts are now online and available to J. AOAC Int. subscribers or as pay-per-view at http://www.atypon-link.com/AOAC/loi/jaoi:

“Determination of Deoxynivalenol in Processed Foods,” by Mary W. Trucksess, Lei Bao, Carol M. Weaver, and Kevin D. White.
