TECHNICAL DIVISION ON REFERENCE MATERIALS AWARD
The Technical Division on Reference Materials (TDRM) award recognizes
contributions and encourages active participation of members of
the TDRM in the pursuit of the goals and objectives of AOAC INTERNATIONAL.
Recipients receive a plaque at the AOAC INTERNATIONAL Annual Meeting
during the Awards Ceremony.
Criteria:
- Nominees should be a scientist or group of scientists who have
made an outstanding contribution to the use of reference materials
in a unique or unusual manner or to the development of reference
materials for laboratory use.
- Promoted the use of reference materials through lecturers, papers,
personal contacts, and/or meetings leading to the achievement
of improved science.
- Must be a member of both AOAC INTERNATIONAL and TDRM.
The Selection Process:
- The award is presented annually; however, if no suitable candidate
is found in a particular year, no award will be made.
- A Review committee shall be chaired by the Vice Chair and be
composed of members of the TDRM appointed by the Chair. Membership
shall consist of the Chair, the Vice Chair and three other appointed
members of the TDRM.
- Nominations shall consist of a nomination to the Review
committee stating the unique or significant contribution of the
scientist or group of scientists using 150 words or less. At most,
two additional support letters may also be included.
