Training Materials

Here is a collection of materials used for training people in the validation process. Much of it can provide a detailed picture of what is involved in the work of validating a method.

Official Methods Program Manual (Complete Manual)

Expert review panels (ERP)

The Expert Review Panel (ERP) plays a critical role in meeting the overall objectives of the FDA-NIH-AOAC effort to produce “official” or “reference” methods for the analysis of dietary supplements. These two PDF files define the ERP and provide an overview and guidelines for making use of the ERP.
