CALL FOR POSTERS

FINAL DEADLINE TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT: JULY 9 at 11:59pm EDT

Please Note: At least one of the poster authors for each submitted abstract must pre-register for the AOAC Annual Meeting in order to gain access to the poster submission web site. The final deadline for all presenting authors to pre-register is July 2, 2008.

AOAC INTERNATIONAL invites you to submit a Poster Presentation for the 2008 Annual Meeting. All posters must be submitted online through our new submission site. The poster topic areas are:

• Analysis of Non-Process Contaminants and Residues
• Analysis of Process Contaminants and Residues
• Botanicals and Dietary Supplements
• Detection and Measurement of Natural Toxins
• Emerging Issues in Food Safety and Security
• Feeds, Fertilizers and Related Agricultural Topics
• Food Nutrition and Food Allergens
• Microbiological Reference Methods
• Pharmaceutical Analysis, Authenticity and Safety
• General Analytical Methods, Quality Assurance and Accreditation

Poster Presentation viewings will be held on Monday, September 22; Tuesday, September 23, and Wednesday, September 24 from 10:00am – 5:00pm. There will be a 90-minute time slot each day during which authors will be present and explain their research. To view session days/times, CLICK HERE.

To submit a Poster Presentation, at least one of the poster authors must pre-register for the AOAC Annual Meeting in order to gain access to the poster submission web site. To pre-register for the Annual Meeting, CLICK HERE. If paying by credit card, you will receive a role access code and a URL link to the poster submission web site by email within 24 hours. This role access code and link will allow you to enter the Call for Posters submission site. If paying by check, you will receive a role access code and a URL link to the poster submission web site by email within 5-7 business days. All poster submitters MUST pre-register by July 2, 2008. If you do not pre-reregister by July 2, your name will not be printed in the Final Program.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS

1. Only completed Poster Presentations with all required information will be considered for publication and presentation at the Annual Meeting. Paper titles or abstracts without complete contact information will not be accepted. Changes will not be possible after the final submission deadline of July 9, 2008.
2. The body of an abstract should not exceed 1400 characters.
3. Abstracts containing graphs and charts cannot be accepted.
4. Do not include references, credits or grant support.
5. Do not include keywords. AOAC does not publish a key words index in the Final Program.
6. Abstracts dealing with commercial products or services must have a scientific emphasis and should not be submitted for promotion purposes. Scientists with an interest in promoting new products and technologies are encouraged to contact the AOAC Meetings department to learn about 2008 Exhibitor Presentation opportunities.
7. Proofread carefully for formatting, spelling and grammar. Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted.
