Official Methods Board Training Session
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
The Official Method Board (OMB) is holding a session to educate the Association membership on its current processes and the supporting volunteer roles. Areas to be covered include standards development and method validation along with the roles of the OMB, method committee members, the formation of method committees, Study Directors, Topic Advisors and General Referees (AOAC Process Experts). Members of the OMB will also be available for discussion.
Exhibit Hall Grand Opening Reception
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
All Annual Meeting attendees and their registered guests are invited to the Grand Opening of the Exhibit Hall. This reception is always well-attended and provides an excellent opportunity to network with your colleagues and meet with representatives from the exhibiting organizations in a fun, relaxing environment.

Awards Ceremony & Keynote Address

AOAC INTERNATIONAL President, Gayle Lancette, will present awards to individuals who have contributed to the analytical science community and to AOAC itself. Awards being presented include the prestigious Harvey W. Wiley Award and Wiley Scholarship, Fellows of AOAC, technical awards, and member service awards for those who have achieved the milestone anniversaries of 5-, 10-, and 25-years of membership in the Association.
We are honored to have Dr. David Acheson, Managing Director, Food and Import Safety Practice, at Leavitt Partners, in Washington, DC presenting the Keynote Address. As the firm’s chief medical officer, Acheson helps clients enter new markets, enhance the value of their products, navigate dynamic regulatory and reimbursement systems and improve health conditions around the world. Dr. Acheson will be presenting his Address on food safety in relation to legislation, consumers, industry, and imports in the U.S. and around the world.
