ONLINE REVIEW SYSTEM
Authors: To submit, scroll to the bottom and click on "Submit a Manusript" link. Create your own user name and password. You will then be able to log on to the system. You will need to enter your mailing and e-mail addresses to be able to continue the submission process. (see Instructions to Authors for requirements) The system will then walk you through the process of uploading files (manuscripts, tables, figures). An added feature will allow you to suggest reviewers. The feature will not assign but rather will be used to help with the selection of reviewers by our section editors. Authors are able to track the status of their manuscript through their user name and password. Section editors and reviewers: AOAC staff will assign a manuscript to a section editor, which will trigger an e-mail notification to the editor. The section editor will then choose two to three reviewers, either from the author’s suggested list or from section editor’s list of reviewers and forward an invitation e-mail to the reviewers to review the manuscript. After the section editor receives comments back from reviewers, the editor will then send an e-mail to the author confirming that the manuscript is either accepted, rejected, or accepted with revisions (in the latter case, authors must resubmitted a revised manuscript).
