METHODS NEWS
( Reflects new submissions, proposed actions, and changes in the status of method reviews
as of May 1, 2009. Only currently active methods are listed.)
The AOAC® Official Methods
ProgramSM is designed to provide
fully validated methods that can be used with confidence by regulatory
agencies, regulated industry, product testing laboratories, and
academic institutions. They are subjected to an eight or more laboratory collaborative study according to internationally recognized standards and receive rigorous scientific review of performance results. Adoption of a method is based on the demonstration of its reliability and practicality by completion of a successful collaborative study.
Notice of official actions and changes in the status of methods currently in review are listed below.
Any interested party may submit comments and data in writing for or against methods recommended for Repeal, or Final Action. To comment, or for information on how to submit a method, or become a collaborator, General Referee, Study Director, Method Advisor, or Topic Advisor, contact Deborah McKenzie, AOAC INTERNATIONAL, 481 N. Frederick Ave, Suite 500, Gaithersburg, MD 20877-2417, USA, Tel: +1-301-924-7077 ext. 157, Fax: +1-301-924-7089, e-mail: dmckenzie@aoac.org
