The AOAC Board of Directors created a Presidential Task Force on Food Fraud to identified areas of work to standardize analytical methods to be used by food industry and regulators with a focus on non-targeted and targeted testing methods. The non-targeted methods will be used to support the authenticity of a given ingredient without targeting a specific adulterant. The targeted methods will focus on the presence of a given adulterant in an ingredient.
