Dr. Lijun Hu is a research microbiologist at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), specializing in the detection, characterization, and genomics of foodborne pathogens. Dr. Hu has extensive experience and expertise in microbiological method development, validation, whole genomic sequencing, national survey studies, antimicrobial resistance profiling, and outbreak investigation. Her work has earned international recognition, with 35 peer-reviewed publications, over 500 citations, and multiple committee members and FDA awards. She is also an active member of six academic associations, serves on the editorial boards of three journals in food safety and reviews for 22 high-impact journals.
