Darryl Sullivan (Eurofins) will call the Stakeholder Panel meeting to order and introduce/welcome all participants. In addition, the AOAC policies for Antitrust, Volunteer Conflict of Interest, and Use of Association Name and Insignia will be reviewed.
Deborah McKenzie (AOAC) will provide an update on the current AOAC processes.
TBD (AOAC China Section) will provide stakeholders with an update on the AOAC China Section.
Palmer Orlandi (AOAC) will provide stakeholders with an update on the AOAC India Section meeting and other regional activities.
Darryl Sullivan (Eurofins) and Palmer Orlandi (AOAC) will provide an update on the Codex process in relation to the review and adoption of AOAC SPIFAN Methods.
Marcel de Vreeze (ISO/NEN)/Aurélie Dubois (IDF) will share updates on the agreement between AOAC, ISO and IDF to develop standards.
Erik Konings (Nestlé) and Dustin Starkey (Abbott) will provide updates on the current status of chlorate/ perchlorate regulations impacting the infant formula industry.
Don Gilliland (Abbott) and Brendon Gill (Fonterra) will provide updates on vitamin D in infant formula.
Melissa Phillips (NIST) will update the stakeholder panel on the status of the NIST SRM.
Arlene Fox (AOAC) will provide an update on the Proficiency Testing program.
Yannis Vrasidas (Eurofins) will present the proposed Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPR®) for Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs) including 2’-FL and LNnT in Infant and Adult/Pediatric Nutritional Formula for review by the stakeholders.
Jeff Shippar (Eurofins) and Martine van Gool (FrieslandCampina) will present the proposed Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPR®) for Lactoferrin in Infant and Adult/Pediatric Nutritional Formula for review by the stakeholders.
The Working Group Chairs will discuss methods for Vitamins A, E, B12, and D, Folate, and Inositol to re-examine the AOAC First Action methods not recommended for Final Action for these nutrients. This is a collaboration between the working groups and the ERP for AOAC SPIFAN Nutrient Methods that will result in an ERP recommendation for these methods.
Darryl Sullivan (Eurofins) will provide an update on the status of methods in MLT, the SPIFAN methods still in First Action, and next steps.
