In 2019, AOAC adopted a new membership model to boost member value and engagement while ensuring the association’s fiscal health. The new model lowered individual membership fees, introduced new organizational membership tiers, and allowed members to choose the services, programs, and publications that benefit them most.
Individual members include laboratory managers, analytical chemists, microbiologists, toxicologists, forensic scientists, management executives, and much more. Individual Memberships are held in the name of the individual, not the organization they work for, and are non-transferable. Learn more >

Membership activation may take up to five business days depending on the application method. Members receive a digital membership certificate within 30 days via Accredible, emailed from [email protected].

AOAC’s technical divisions comprise programs and activities tailored to meet the needs of key communities by providing a forum for networking and collaboration within two areas, Laboratory Management and Reference Materials.

Individual Memberships are non-transferable and remain in the individual’s name for the life of membership. Member benefits, including those accessed online, are provided exclusively to the individual member whose name appears on the membership card. Please do not share your login username and password with others. If you violate any of the terms, AOAC INTERNATIONAL reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend or terminate your access to the online service immediately without notice, in addition to any other available remedies.
