Description: AOAC INTERNATIONAL in partnership with NIST is hosting a webinar, “Illicit Drug Test Strips: The Issue, the Need, and a Proposed Path Forward”. This webinar will focus on current issues experienced and researched related to the testing of illicit drugs, including xylazine, fentanyl, and nitazenes, in powders. Within this webinar, you will hear perspectives from academia, government, and regulators, including the pain points they experience and the solution they are looking for. The purpose of this webinar is to inform our AOAC community on this critical issue and help them understand how they can support the effort to create a beneficial and productive standard.
Who should attend: test kit manufacturers, regulators, academia, and anyone familiar with illicit drug testing.
What can you expect to get out of this program: A better understanding of the issue surrounding illicit drug test strips from a regulatory perspective, in the field, and from the background of academic research.
