AOAC will host a webinar to present the outcomes of its recently completed collaboration with NIST, which produced two key deliverables designed to promote consistency and quality across drug test strips for multiple drug classes. The first deliverable is a Standard Method Performance Requirement (SMPR®) establishing the minimum performance criteria an assay must meet for the defined scope, covering Benzodiazepines, Fentanyl, Medetomidine, Nitrazines, and Xylazine.
The second deliverable is a Standard Protocol outlining the validation procedures necessary to demonstrate that a method fulfills the SMPR’s quality and performance requirements.
This webinar will provide an overview of both documents, explain their practical application, and introduce the option for certification as an additional means to demonstrate assay quality.
