Additional participants are needed for a collaborative (multi-laboratory validation) study of the AOAC 2018.03 First Action method for the determination of 2- and 3-MCPD, 2- and 3-MCPD esters and glycidyl esters in infant and adult/pediatric nutritional formula by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. Study directors are planning to send the study protocol together with seven samples and a practice sample to the participating laboratories in Q1 2024, expecting results from the laboratories by the end of Q2 2024.
