The draft Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPRs®) for Amplicon Sequencing was posted for public comment for 45 days. No comments were received on the draft standard entitled, “Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPRs®) Detection of Multiple Biothreat Agent Organisms in Environmental Samples by Amplicon Sequencing.” The document is now ready for consensus by stakeholders from the Stakeholder Program on Agent Detection Assays (SPADA) community and all who have a material interest in this work.

Ballots will be reviewed, and results will be announced. The ballot does allow for comments to be submitted. Any substantial comments received will prompt a response by AOAC.
