The AOAC Ethylene Oxide (ETO) working group recently completed its review and revision of the Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPRs®) for Determination of Ethylene Oxide and its Marker Residue 2-Chloroethanol in Oil Seeds and Nuts, Grains, Pulses, Dried Herbs, Spices and Extracts Thereof, Food Additives, Dietary Supplement Products and Ingredients, Dried Fruits, Essential Oils, Coffee, Cocoa and Composite Foods. The SMPR® is now open for consensus voting. Review the final draft and cast your vote by Friday, August 9. AOAC encourages the sharing and distribution of the link for voting.
