AOAC INTERNATIONAL is seeking experienced AOAC members to join the Technical Programming Council (TPC), an expert advisory group dealing with technical programming and content management for the AOAC Annual Meeting & Exhibition.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the technical program planning of each AOAC Annual Meeting & Exposition for a two-year term (Term begins on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the TPC Meeting held at the Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA)
  • Study and provide recommendations to the Board of Directors on programs, policies, and activities as they relate to the Annual Meeting & Exposition
  • Develop broad programming outlines for each annual meeting, including theme and balance of program across AOAC interests and experiences
  • Aid in recruiting high quality, recognized scientists for chairs and speakers in designated sessions
  • Ensure unique program and avoid repetition from year to year
  • Ensure institutional diversity within sessions
  • Ensure the TPC reflects issues and topics in the Analytical Solutions Forum and other current programs
  • Encourage Session Chairs to recruit a wide array of speakers from across many fields of interest
  • Implement and monitor technical programming policies as related to content, as well as other matters pertinent to the Association’s technical programming needs
  • Contribute to the overall Association strategic plan
  • Actively participate in the work of the Council; including, but not limited to, promptly responding to communications, attending and actively participating in meetings, reviewing meeting background materials and agendas prior to meetings, and accepting and following through on assignments

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Membership in the Association
  • Potential to assume an Association leadership role
  • Knowledge of and experience with the purpose and activities of the Association

  1. Name of potential candidate
  2. Candidate’s affiliation and position/title
  3. Candidate’s contact information (mailing and email addresses, telephone number)
  4. List of the candidate’s involvement in AOAC programs (e.g., BIDSI, SPIFAN, CASP, etc.)
  5. Brief statement of candidate’s qualifications.
