We’re excited to announce that from the end of February the much longed-for “Remember me” functionality will be added to the Official Methods of Analysis of AOAC INTERNATIONAL website on Oxford Academic. This change will provide this functionality to personal subscribers logging in via username and password.
What is “Remember me” functionality and why is it needed?
Session length on the Official Methods of Analysis of AOAC INTERNATIONAL site was previously set to a standardised 45 mins to be in-line with OUP policy, which may have caused difficulties for users of the resource who spend many hours logged in on their browser whilst doing research. With this new functionality when someone logs in to the Oxford Academic platform they will have the option to tick a box which says “Stay signed in for longer (personal devices only)”. If they tick this box they will be kept logged in for 12 hours, meaning they should only have to login once per day. For security reasons, it is not recommended that users of public computers or shared devices opt into this longer session.
