AOAC congratulates Sarah McCormick, winner of the 2019 Harvey W. Wiley Scholarship. Sarah is pursuing her B.S.Ch. in Chemistry with minors in Mathematics and Environmental Science at the University of Denver. Most recently she worked on ion chromatography and developing analytical techniques, specifically related to the detection of atmospheric aerosols. Sara plans to study abroad in Tanzania where she will research the impacts of tourism on drinking water quality on the island of Zanzibar using analytical techniques before pursuing her master’s degree in chemistry.
