Illicit Drug Test Strips: The Issue, the Need, and a Proposed Path Forward – AOAC INTERNATIONAL, in partnership with NIST, hosted the webinar “Illicit Drug Test Strips: The Issue, the Need, and a Proposed Path Forward”. This webinar focused on current issues experienced and researched related to the testing of illicit drugs, including xylazine, fentanyl, and nitazenes, in powders. Within this webinar, attendees heard perspectives from academia, government, and regulators, including the pain points they experience and the solution they are looking for.
The purpose of this webinar was to inform our AOAC community on this critical issue and help them understand how they can support the effort to create a beneficial and productive standard.
