AOAC is seeking volunteer subject matter experts to serve on a newly established working group to develop and adopt voluntary consensus standards for microbial contaminants in color additives from natural sources. Stakeholder-approved standards will be used in the development of Official Methods of Analysis. This working group will begin by developing an SMPR® for salmonella, based on priorities established by the project’s Advisory Panel.
