The AOAC Proficiency Testing staff has been working with its test material provider partner, Signature Science, LLC, to develop a PT program that addresses the need for quality microbiology PT samples. AOAC has developed these microbiology programs through feedback provided by AOAC Cannabis Analytical Science Program (CASP) Working Groups and the AOAC Cannabis/Hemp PT Advisory Task Force. These new PT programs will offer both hemp and cannabis (> 0.3% low, med, high THC) dried flower/bud/plant part samples. AOAC will be inviting laboratories to participate in the Pilot Round taking place in the next few months.
