Both AOAC INTERNATIONAL Guidelines for Validation of Qualitative Gluten Methods with Specific Examples – Lateral Flow Devices (SG 2025.001) and AOAC INTERNATIONAL Guidelines for Validation of Quantitative Gluten Methods with Specific Examples – ELISA Assays (SG 2025.002) were intentionally designed as program‑agnostic, technical frameworks that extend beyond AOAC’s own method pathways. They provide standardized validation study designs, performance criteria, and reporting expectations that can be adopted by laboratories, regulators, and industry partners worldwide.
Whether a method is intended for AOAC PTM, OMA, or another regulatory or certification pathway, these guidelines offer a shared foundation for gluten method validation across matrices, processing types, and use settings.
