Dr. Chengyu Gao is a research scientist at Campus Chemical Instrument Center, The Ohio State University. Dr. Gao received his PhD from The Ohio State University under the supervision of Dr. Devin Peterson in 2021, where he applied an untargeted LC/MS flavoromics approach to discover and identify novel flavor molecules that significantly modulate bitter perception. Then, he worked as a senior scientist at PepsiCo global R&D research center. Dr. Gao specializes in untargeted and targeted metabolomics and lipidomics and has extensive experience in LC/MS and GC/MS analysis. Currently, he leads untargeted metabolomics analysis and targeted compound quantification for small molecules at CCIC, The Ohio State University.
