Prof. Jenny Jeehan Nasr is a professor and Head of the Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mansoura University, Egypt. She is also the Vice Dean of Education and Student affairs. She is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and in the UNESCO Bioethics Network concerned with women’s issues in the Arab Region. She is a former member of the National Committee for Women in Science in the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Egypt. Moreover, she is also a former fellow of L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science Pan Arab Regional Program. She has earned her Ph.D. degree in September 2009. Also, she has published many research papers focusing on the analysis of pharmaceuticals and drugs in formulations and biological fluids, in addition to stability studies of drug raw materials. Prof. Jenny has made a prominent contribution in the field of analysis of drug residues in foods to serve the community through avoiding the risks threatening human health. She has also performed previous research to determine anti-cancer drug traces in wastewater to ensure the safety and quality of water according to the international standards. Additionally, she has a leading role in green chemistry being a facilitator in the initiative of the Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering and Yale University in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) to promote green chemistry around the world. She is now working on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) as supportive routine tools to solve research and industry problems in the fields of water sanitation, food safety, pharmacy, medicine, and environment.
