Mehmet Gumustas works as an Associate Professor at the Ankara University, Institute of Forensic Sciences, Department of Forensic Toxicology. He obtained his PhD from Ankara University Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Analytical Chemistry. His research interests include separation sciences such as Liquid Chromatography, Capillary Electrophoresis, and Supercritical Fluid Chromatography, applied to clinical, pharmaceutical, and forensic purposes for the discovery and determination of chiral and achiral compounds and their metabolites from various matrices. Dr. Gumustas has published over 65 peer-reviewed articles in international journals and 7 book chapters in books published by Elsevier, CRC Press, and Bentham Publishing. He serves as an editorial board member of the Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis and Scientific Reports, among others. Additionally, He is a member of the EuChemS-DAC Bioanalytics Group and the EuChemS-DAC Sample Preparation Study Group and Network Beyond his expertise, he has also contributed to the analysis of pharmaceuticals in drug delivery systems, as well as food and environmental samples.
