Dr. Shuai Zhi is currently a professor in the School of Public Health at Ningbo University, China. He holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Alberta, Canada. His research focuses on the surveillance, evolution, and characteristics of foodborne pathogens across environmental, food, and human interfaces within the One Health paradigm. His work also includes developing rapid detection methods to support the control of foodborne pathogens. In addition, he has established close collaborations with industry, focusing on the development of rapid detection methods for algal metabolites that affects drinking water quality. He is the principal investigator of seven research projects and published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals, participated in writing two books.
