
Dr. Yang Yang a food safety microbiologist and associate professor of Hebei Normal University of Science & Technology, Hebei Province, China. His group focuses on conventional and rapid detection of foodborne pathogens, detection and monitoring of antibiotics resistance of pathogens, virulence characteristics and virulence evolution of pathogens, and pathogens subtyping and traceability database, especially food safety of fresh produce and fresh-cut produce, pre-harvest and post-harvest foodborne pathogens control, prevention and detection. He earned his B.S. and M.S. from Hebei Agriculture University, China, and his Ph.D. from Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, China. Then he received the Postdoctoral Fellowship working in the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center, USDA. Dr. Yang has over 40 publications in refereed journals.
