At the 2020 Midyear Meeting, AOAC INTERNATIONAL President Henry Chin presided as the AOAC Global Council held its first in-person meeting, including Ambassador-level members Abbott Nutrition, Eurofins, Herbalife Nutrition, and Neogen.
The group discussed international engagement and strategies amidst the Covid19 uncertainties. They plan to meet in person at each Annual Meeting and Midyear Meeting. The group advises the Board of Directors on international strategy and focused much of this meeting on ways to engage despite the future travel uncertainties.
Another priority included developing an enhanced list of global experts in various areas of analytical expertise. Attendees also were briefed on the highly productive AOAC India Section meeting in February.
