AOAC is pleased to announce that two new methods were adopted as Official Methods of Analysis℠ in early July during AOAC’s first ever “Analytical Methods Week,” a series of virtual meetings to consolidate and streamline ongoing Expert Review Panel (ERP) method reviews.
The event kicked off with an orientation followed by meetings of ERPs for Microbiology Methods, Sugar and Fructans Methods, and Flavanol Methods. In addition, the ERPs for Bisphenol A Methods and for Proanthocyanidins in Cranberries Methods both successfully adopted methods as First Action Official Methods of Analysis.
Analytical Methods Week also included the first AOAC “virtual public comment session,” gathering input on three SPADA working group draft documents on soils testing, in silico analysis, and bacterial strain verification.
