AOAC INTERNATIONAL (AOAC) is issuing a notice of revision for editorial correction and statistical clarification to the AOAC Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPRs®) for Detection of Salmonella species in Colors from Natural Sources.
Statistical definitions were clarified for completion and consistency with AOAC Standards. In Table 6. (Method Study Design and Performance Requirements) the criteria were updated to be consistent with current statistical analysis terminology and practice. The updates do not change the method performance requirements or applicability. The notice of revision for standards initiates a brief comment period for the revised standard with track changes. Interested parties may submit comments during the 10-business-day posting period using the Comment Form provided. If no comments of opposition are received, the corrections will take effect immediately upon the close of the posting period, and the track changes will be accepted, and the updated version will be published for the SMPR® for Determination of Salmonella species in Colors from Natural Sources. The deadline for comments is Wednesday, November 11, 2026. Comments may be submitted by accessing the Comment Form.
