AOAC INTERNATIONAL is pleased to announce the AOAC India Section (AOACI) as the 2021 Section of the Year.
The award recognizes the India Section for its multiple activities, communication across various platforms, recruitment, and service to the Association. The Section’s collaboration with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) demonstrates a high degree of credibility and supports the established memorandum of understanding (MOU) between AOACI and FSSAI, the AOAC Official Method extensions/AOAC Official Method proved achievements for Vitamin B12, and ongoing work on antibiotics in milk & milk products.
The India Section continues to engage with potential new partners to increase membership in the region and promote recognition of AOAC. In addition, the involvement of its young scientists within the Association and the AOAC annual meeting ensures recognition of AOAC now and in the future. It has utilized an online platform for capacity building activities for a broad range of stakeholders, including regulatory agencies. It also developed a proficiency testing program to support the growth of its initiatives.
