AOAC INTERNATIONAL is seeking a Manager, Communications to serve as AOAC’s front line of daily communications with the world, utilizing many outlets, including numerous social media platforms, the AOAC website, press releases, the AOAC newsletter Spectrum, email blasts, and more. The Manager, Communications will tackle the challenges associated with developing and maintaining content to build brand recognition, generate interest and enthusiasm about AOAC and its products and services, and engage staff, members, and stakeholders at all levels in organizational projects and initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Membership, Marketing, and Communications, this individual will stay current with trending issues and terminology of food safety, agriculture, and association stakeholders as well as with new technologies and communication outlets to ensure the effective outreach of AOAC to all relevant audiences.

The ideal candidate will bring a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a similar field, excellent communication skills in writing and in person, a strong sense of team, and solid experience managing web content utilizing a WordPress platform. Experience with digital graphics, knowledge of membership databases in the association world, and an advanced degree are pluses. This position also requires at least 80% of the week to be worked in the headquarters office (four out of five days per week).
