AOAC INTERNATIONAL, represented by Dr. Kate Mastovska and Dr. Erik Konings, participated in the 45th session of the Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses (CCNFSDU45) on November 1-6, 2026, in Nuremberg, Germany. Method-related topics included a joint AOAC-ISO-IDF proposal of SPIFAN nutrient methods for IFSMPs and products for young children, nitrogen conversion factors, methods for dietary fiber, and typing vs. numeric performance criteria for infant and follow-up formula methods.
