Call for Experts For Expert Review Panel (ERP) for AOAC Methods in CXS234 for Fats and Oils

AOAC INTERNATIONAL (AOAC) is launching an Expert Review Panel (ERP) for AOAC Methods in CXS234 for Fats & Oils. Membership in this ERP is an opportunity to participate and lend your expertise and experience to the AOAC Official Methods^SM Program to evaluate AOAC fats and oils methods referenced in the Codex Standard 234 (CXS234). If you are a subject matter expert and are interested in volunteering on this AOAC ERP, please complete the application below.

Current Scope of the AOAC Expert Review Panel for AOAC Fats & Oils Methods

AOAC is reviewing Official Methods of Analysis by commodity referenced in CXS234 to determine if the listed methods are still fit for purpose and if there is sufficient validation data published or otherwise to support method applicability and make any preliminary recommendations on status of the method in the listing in CXS234. 

Eligibility for Expert Review Panel Membership

All applications will be screened and submitted to the AOAC Official Methods Board who will vet the candidates and form the ERP roster. Ideal candidates for ERP Membership must:

1. Submit an application including brief statement of experience and a two (2) page CV or resume
2. Have experience and/or expertise in at least one of the following, but not limited to:
   • Analysis of fats and oil methods
   • Analytical chemistry methodology for analysis of foods, pharmaceuticals, and chemical products
   • Analytical method development for fats and oils
   • Analytical method validation
   • Current research on fats and oils
   • Varying analytical techniques related to characterize fats and oils used in food manufacturing
   • Food Science
