CASP Meeting:

The second meeting of the AOAC INTERNATIONAL Cannabis Analytical Science Program is almost here! The CASP meeting is on Saturday, September 7 at 9:00AM in the Grand Ballroom 1, Sheraton Denver Downtown.

The CASP meeting is part of the AOAC 133rd Annual Meeting & Exposition and will include reviews of the CASP working groups’ work to date as well as presentations from community leaders. • Tuesday, September 10, 1:20pm: AOAC Spotlight On… Toby Astill, PerkinElmer, 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Cannabis Science (Plaza Foyer)
• Wednesday, September 11, 3:00pm: Symposium – Cannabis and Cannabis Byproducts, An Update on Stats of Industry and Current Challenges (Grand Ballroom 1)

Working Groups:

All three working groups (Cannabinoids in Consumables, Chemical Contaminants in Cannabis, and Microbial Contaminants in Cannabis) have drafted Standard Method Performance Requirements^® (SMPRs^®) to be presented for approval at the September 7 CASP Meeting. Currently, the groups are working to finalize recommendations on future training and educational opportunities as well as reference materials.
