Analytical Methods Week (AMW), run by AOAC INTERNATIONAL’s Official Methods & Standards Program, is a series of meetings using a convenient and popular virtual format for method developers and experts to come together and advance analytical science.
Featuring virtual expert review panel (ERP) meetings, Analytical Methods Week consolidates and streamlines ongoing AOAC consensus-building activities, such as ERP methods reviews and public comment periods, keeping these important steps in the process moving forward.
Meetings are scheduled based on methods received and availability of a quorum of expert review panel members.
Analytical Methods Week was launched in July 2019 and has demonstrated its value through evaluation and approval of numerous candidate methods for Official Methods of Analysis First Action status, modifications, or First Action status to Final Action status. Methods adopted as AOAC First Action Official Methods of Analysis by the ERPs are published by AOAC INTERNATIONAL.
AOAC Analytical Methods Week will be held three (3) times during 2023 as follows:
